White House Vigil for Ukrainian Fallen Heroes

A solemn and moving vigil for Ukraine’s fallen heroes was held in front of the White House this afternoon under Ukrainian and American flags that were billowing beautifully in a strong wind as the sun shone brightly down on this beautiful crowd which ranged from the very young up to the elderly.  The most moving part  occurred when the crowd knelt and a mournful Ukrainian song played over the loudspeakers.  The music, the voices, the faces, the flags: It was overwhelming.  The music and the people’s faces always gets me. This Russi Leaks video captures the the beautiful faces, the flags, the music, and the final moment which, totally un-staged, my camera caught a perfect blending of the Ukrainian and American flags wrapped tightly as if one.  You can’t make that stuff up.
